AIK further consolidate their position as one of the sharpest clubs in football with the reveal of their new special edition shirt for 2023. This year, together with partner Nike, they take this to a new level with the AIK Stockholm Edition cup shirt, which pays tribute to the home city.
The new AIK Stockholm Edition shirt is delivered in crisp white with detail in gold and black to land as the latest special edition kit in a series that has become iconic in world football. The club take pride in executing kits that their fans can be proud of, and with previous drops leaving sold out signs spinning, the fanbase and football shirt fans across the world are clearly lapping them up with increased demand.
On the chest, we see a pattern inspired by the Sun Table, an oil painting from the sixteenth century which is one of the oldest known depictions of Stockholm. The raised marks on the shirt are handcrafted and made in 3D silicone to bring out the highest possible richness of detail. The club badge also has a fabric base in black velvet. All the gold details on the shirt have been enriched with metal particles for a more prominent gold shimmer. This applies not only to the gold in the raised prints, but also on the cuffs of the shirt and on the socks.
All that special edition goodness is presented in a stunning presentation box, typical of AIK’s premium position when it comes to hype jerseys.
The club, which is famous for supplying their academy players to the Swedish national team, will wear the new limited edition jersey for the first time on February 18 when they take on Västerås in their first domestic cup game of the new season.
