The Connect & Support Participation Network will bring participation and inclusion staff together at Melbourne’s Albert Park on Thursday, July 20.
This will welcome a variety of people from State Sporting Associations (SSAs), Local Government Authorities (LGAs), Regional Sport Assemblies (RSAs) and other peak bodies.
Made possible by Vicsport and VicHealth, the topic for the day will be Access All Abilities (AAA).
AAA Sports Ballarat will be represented by Kellie Britt, where she is the Founder and Coordinator of the not-for-profit organisation which provides grassroots sporting opportunities for children with special needs and disabilities.
As a mother of an autistic boy herself, she understands the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment to play sport.
Britt manages the AAA Sport Consultancy, which offers practical workshops, guidance and support to schools, clubs, councils and individuals.
Britt will share her experience that spans across all sports – featuring programming, coaching and club structures.
