Following the completion of Mental Health Round in conjunction with CALM Inc, the two organisations are teaming up to kick-off a number of information sessions.
The Mental Health Round is part of a multi-layer effort to raise awareness, promote education and support mental health.
It also aims to improve mental health outcomes for football players and community members, support connections to local mental health agencies, and empower clubs.
The following information sessions are taking place:
Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Webinar
Taking place on Monday, June 5 at 6:30pm (tonight) is the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Webinar open to all members of the football community.
With a panel of mental health experts, topics for discussion are:
- How to navigate mental health in pressure situations
- Dealing with pressures from the outside
- Practical strategies to deal with mental health
- Who can I go to
- Q & A

SafeTALK
SafeTALK Gatekeeper Training will also be provided to upskill coaches & volunteers of your club in suicide prevention strategies. (Face to Face workshop in the Hunter Region).
START
START allows all clubs/members, no matter their location, to complete suicide intervention training on the go, through a 90 minutes self-paced online course.
Each of these programs have been supported by funding provided by NSW Ministry of Health.
